Position # GAS-MA-JR2 Gastroenterology Physician Job Location: Massachusetts, Western Gastroenterology - SCENIC WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS
A Medical Center is seeking a gastroenterologist to join its seasoned solo gastroenterologist in private practice. The ideal candidate will have general GI and endoscopic skills and work well in a community setting. Practice space is available adjacent to the hospital; the busy three-room endoscopy suite is located in the hospital and slated for relocation and renovation in 2004. Current volume in endoscopy is over 1500 procedures/year, with potential for significant growth. The center is a thriving 100-bed community hospital serving about 75,000 residents of a beautiful rural county of western Massachusetts. In addition, the center is part of the a Health System, named for the third year in a row as one of the top 100 healthcare systems in the United States.
The area offers warm, friendly New England communities to live in, beautiful countryside, great private and public schools, antique stores and artisan galleries. A few miles south is the vibrant arts and college community of Northampton, voted #1 small arts town in the country, and the hub of a rich network of academic institutions including the University of Massachusetts and Amherst, Smith, Hampshire, and Mount Holyoke Colleges.
