Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician
Location: Texas, Laredo
Hospital in Laredo is assisting a physician in locating an associate for his busy practice. The doctor is seeing 20-25 patients in the office and he is delivering about 25 babies each month. MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH
The physician is seeking someone who will ultimately become a partner. Approximately 50% of his practice is Medicaid, 30% commercial insurance and 10% cash or self pay. Managed care is almost nonexistent in this marketplace.
The hospital will provide a financial package to the person joining with the physician. After you are established, your income should exceed $400,000.
Hospital is a 120 bed private hospital located in Laredo, Texas. The hospital was opened in 1974 by a group of physicians. A large health system purchased the hospital, the third largest healthcare corporation in the nation and built a new facility, which opened in 2001.
Laredo is a city of over 180,000 and Nuevo Laredo has a population of over 450,000. It is the fastest growing city and the second fastest growing city in the United States. It is located on the banks of the historical Rio Grande River in the southern part of Texas within 150 miles of San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Monterrey, Mexico. It is the home of Texas A & M International University. Laredo has 320 sunny days, mild winters and high summer temperatures with low humidity. The city offers a symphony, arts center, live theater performances, one of the top fresh water lakes in Texas and an international baseball team.
